Elizabeth Taylor (1932-2011)

Elizabeth passed away yesterday at the old age of 79. Under her diamond belt she has two Academy Awards, for Butterfield 8 in 1960 and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf in 1966, and notably is only one of few to made 'Dame of the British Empire' in 1999.
Truly one of the last of Hollywood's royalty. RIP

Philippe Apeloig:
“Graphic design is the intersection point between art and communication.”
All the way with TVC

I found this from a visual design project last year. The criteria was to create a chocolate advertisement through the manipulation of a famous, infamous or recognised image. Missing his anarchy

MDP

Today I spent a good 40 minutes trying to write 'FRISS' graffiti style on
Adobe Illustrator, productive I know.

MDP

My major design project for Design&Technology is probably one of the few reason that I am EVER excited to go to school. Once i get the Adobe software for me myself and I, may not return. I am doing a conceptual magazine design and didn't effectively plan the time that i needed for research and folio work! So far some of the elements I have been incorporating are:
Top bloggers (Elin Kling, Hanneli Mustaparta, Rumi Neely), photography by Sam, featured art by Zakkus, comic article by Ilona and graphic and composition by mwa.
Here is one of Sams awesome photos I'm using

Procrastinating is the best form of using time... for pointless activities. The internet only stimulates my need to 'waste' hours attempting to watch movies and read gossip about people on the other side of the world. Technology is fun!

Definitions By Bell
Trashbag: Someone filled with the elements of awesome that understands being awesome can only be increased in the event of being trashy. In this circumstance the subject becomes a bag of awesomeness with an element of trashiness (fun times) and evolves into a supreme being.

I took the liberty of creating this definition because the existing ones were too definite.

green with envy

I think that this is a great fashion organisation in general 'awareness' of global issues. Check it out http://peopletree.co.uk/
The clothes are lovely and at the moment they are also donating to Japan, as an arm in their company is based in Tokyo and is subject to continuous aftershock. People all over are being affected to this disaster and despite the trauma, it's good that people can be aware of it in all areas and industries.

emma whats up

Okay seriously impressed with this girl, I don't think it cliched at all to call her a role model.

fairytales

I love fairy tales, and newbie adaptions, am secretly (not so much now) wanting to see Beastly and Red Riding Hood. My all time favourite would have to be Ever After with Drew Barrymore, but i think somewhat a more truthful version of the fairy tale? Then there's the other newbies like  A Cinderella Story, Sydney White, Ella Enchanted, elements of Shrek, and The Brothers Grimm. All art in their own way..little bit of escape from the otherwise far to real reality.
